The project was launched on December 30, 2006 at Poovirunthavalli Anna Boys’ High School by the then Chief Minister Karunanidhi. The regime has not implemented the scheme properly since 2011 and the AIADMK has been in power for the last 10 years. Today, Stalin is launching a campaign to save the artist.

Under the artist’s Kalaignarin Varumun Kappom Thittam, mega camps will be held at 1,000+ locations per year. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin starts the first camp.

If three medical camps are conducted annually in each of the 385 constituencies in the state, a total of 1,155 camps will be conducted.

There are 21 corporations in the state. Apart from Chennai, four camps will be conducted in each of the 20 corporations. A total of 15 camps will be conducted in Chennai.

He said a total of 1,240 camps will be conducted in the state. Sixteen specialists from the fields of General Medicine, Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, ENT, Nephrology and Neurology are participating in the camp.

The camps specialize in 16 specialists including General Physician, Surgeon, Intestinal Physician, Pediatrician, Gynecologist, Ear, Nose and Throat Physician, Ophthalmologist, Dentist, Dermatologist, Cardiologist, Urologist, Neurologist and Paramedic. There will be doctors.

The general public at the camp will be examined and diagnosed with any problems with the body and given the necessary treatment.

If admitted to the hospital for treatment, they will be referred to government hospitals immediately.

If they are diagnosed with chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure they will be sent to higher hospitals for better treatment.
